Refund Policy
Who is refunded, how, and why identity verification (KYC) comes first.
The Short Version
- Rule 1: you have 24 hours to check the account. When the seller hands the account over, the buyer must confirm it, or tell us about a problem by opening a dispute from the escrow page, within 24 hours. If the buyer does not reply within 24 hours, the payment is released to the seller automatically and there is no refund. Automatic release waits only while a dispute is open, our team has put the deal on hold, or a request for help from either side is open.
- Rule 2: a deposit stays in your wallet, and it cannot be withdrawn. Money you deposit is never refunded to the card, bank account, PayPal account or crypto address it came from, and it is never paid out. It stays in your AccsMarkets wallet as balance, to spend on the platform. Deposit fees are never credited back.
- Every refund is a credit to your AccsMarkets wallet. Refunds are made at the moment the deal is cancelled or ruled on. Returning money to the original card, bank account, PayPal account or crypto address is not part of the process. A refund of a purchase paid with deposited money stays in the wallet as spend-only money (Rule 2).
- Getting refunded does not need identity verification. Getting money out of your wallet does. A withdrawal needs a verified identity (KYC). Only withdrawable money can be paid out, which is not deposited money or a refund of it. Details are in the next section.
- The escrow fee is refunded when an escrow is cancelled or the buyer wins a dispute.
- Once a deal is completed and the seller is paid, whether by the buyer's confirmation or by Rule 1, there is no refund path through the platform.
Identity Verification (KYC) and Refunds
Identity verification is the main condition for taking money out of AccsMarkets, and it is the first thing to sort out if you expect a refund, a payout from a sale, or a withdrawal. Our KYC Policy explains what we collect and how it is reviewed.
What does not need verification: depositing, buying, making offers, paying an escrow from your wallet, cancelling an escrow, opening a dispute and receiving a refund into your wallet. Your refund rights below do not depend on KYC.
What needs verification: withdrawing from your wallet (sale proceeds and credits from our team; deposited money cannot be withdrawn), creating or relisting listings, selling stock, and using the bulk API. To withdraw, all of the following must be true:
- Your identity is verified: a member of our team (or, where we have switched it on, our automated checks) has approved your documents.
- Where we ask for identity details, they are on file and have been checked against your documents.
- Your e-mail address is verified and a country is set on your account.
- Your account is not restricted from withdrawing.
- The payout destination is yours. A destination in a name that does not match your verified name may be held for review, and a new destination can only be used after a waiting period of 24 hours (the period is a security measure and is shown when you add it).
If your verification is withdrawn (for example because documents turn out to be false), your listings are paused, withdrawals stop, and a withdrawal that was still waiting fails until you are verified again. Your wallet balance stays in your wallet. We always tell you by notification and e-mail, with the reason.
An expired ID document does not remove your verification by itself, but we ask you to renew it and may ask for new documents at any time to protect the marketplace.
Cancelling an Escrow (Full Refund)
While an escrow is in the FUNDED or AWAITING_MANAGER_ADD stage, meaning the seller has not yet submitted the account for transfer, the buyer may cancel. The refund is immediate and complete:
- The full amount charged is returned to the buyer's wallet: the price and the escrow fee.
- There is no waiting period and no reason is needed.
- The listing becomes available to other buyers again (it stays paused if the seller has been restricted in the meantime).
- A promo code used on that order is not given back.
- If our team has put the deal on hold for a review, it cannot be cancelled until the hold is lifted.
After Credentials Are Submitted
Once the seller submits the transfer details, the escrow can no longer be cancelled by one side. This rule is enforced by the escrow system itself. If the handover fails or the account does not match the listing:
- Open a dispute from the escrow page within the 24 hours you have to check the account (Rule 1). If you do not reply within that time, the payment is released to the seller automatically and cannot be refunded.
- Add your evidence (screenshots, recordings, messages). The evidence window is 2 days from the start of the dispute; our team reviews the case, and there is no fixed ruling deadline.
- The funds stay locked in escrow until the dispute is decided.
There is no change-of-mind refund once the handover has started. A refund after that point is only possible as the outcome of a dispute.
Dispute Outcomes
A dispute ends in one of these results. Money moves at the moment of the ruling, as a wallet credit.
- Buyer wins: the buyer is refunded everything that was paid, including the escrow fee, less any milestone already released to the seller. The listing goes back on sale unless the seller is restricted.
- Seller wins: the seller is paid the price (less any milestone already paid), the escrow fee is kept, and the listing is marked sold.
- Agreed split (mediation): our team proposes and finalises the split. The seller receives the agreed amount, the buyer receives the rest of the money held for the deal, and the platform keeps no escrow fee on a split.
- Closed without a ruling: no money moves, the deal returns to where it was, and the buyer gets a fresh inspection window if the earlier one had run out.
Rulings are final within the platform. You may appeal within 72 hours of a ruling; an appeal is reviewed by our team and is a request for review, not an automatic reversal.
Completed Deals and Stock
- A buyer who confirms receipt, a seller's handover that the buyer accepts, or a release by our team pays the seller at once. A completed deal cannot be disputed or refunded through the platform.
- Many deals have an inspection window in which the buyer checks what was delivered: 24 hours by default, 24 hours for PayPal gift cards, or the value set for that stock group. If the buyer does not reply before the window ends, the seller is paid automatically and there is no refund (Rule 1). Automatic release waits only if something is blocking it (an open dispute, a hold, or a request from either side); then our team decides. Dispute before the window ends.
- Stock orders cannot be cancelled by the buyer. They start already delivered, so the inspection window and a dispute are the buyer's protection.
Deposits
- A deposit stays in your wallet and cannot be withdrawn (Rule 2). It is never refunded to the card, bank account, PayPal account or crypto address it came from, whichever way you paid, and it is never paid out. It is yours to spend on the platform: accounts, stock, escrow payments, plans and promotions.
- A refund of a purchase you paid with deposited money is spend-only too. If you pay an escrow with deposited money and the deal is cancelled or ruled in your favour, the refund returns to your wallet as spend-only money. It can buy something else but it cannot be withdrawn.
- Your wallet is credited with the amount you ask to add (minimum $10). Any deposit fee is charged on top and is shown on the Add Funds page before you pay. Deposit fees are not credited to your wallet and are not returned if you later cancel a purchase.
- Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay: a declined payment is not charged. If a payment is started but not completed it is closed after a short time, and your bank may keep showing a pending authorisation until it releases it. If a card payment is reversed or charged back, the deposited money, and anything bought with it, is frozen while we review it and can be removed from the wallets it reached.
- Crypto: on-chain transfers are irreversible and we cannot reverse them. If you send less than the invoiced amount, only the amount received is credited. Sent to the wrong address or network? Contact support at once; recovery is not guaranteed.
- Bank transfer and PayPal: credited after our team has verified the payment; if less arrived than ordered, the amount received is credited in proportion. An order you never mark as sent expires after 7 days. If we reject a payment, contact support with your order reference.
- Money you deposit and do not spend stays in your wallet. It can be spent on the platform but not withdrawn. Money you earn from your own sales, and credits from our team, can be withdrawn under the withdrawal rules below. Your wallet and the Withdraw page show the deposited part of your balance separately.
Withdrawals and Holds
- The minimum withdrawal is $20. Every request is reviewed by our team.
- Deposited money cannot be withdrawn, and neither can a refund of a purchase paid with it (Rule 2). A withdrawal is paid from what you earned from sales, from credits given by our team, and from older wallet balances.
- A fee of 1% is taken from the amount you withdraw. Your wallet is debited the full amount and the payout is the amount less the fee. The fee is not refundable.
- Identity verification is required (see above), and a new payout destination has a waiting period of 24 hours before it can be used.
- Seller proceeds are held before they can be withdrawn when the buyer paid with money that arrived by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay (7 days), by PayPal (7 days) or by any other method (24 hours). A hold ends by itself when it is due unless a dispute, a review, a ban or a reversed payment is attached to it. If the buyer's payment is reversed, the held part can be taken back from the seller.
- If a payout cannot be completed, contact support. We check it and put the money back in your wallet where it was not sent.
Subscriptions and Promotions
- A plan is paid in advance for 30 days from your wallet or in crypto. Plans do not renew by themselves.
- Plan payments are non-refundable once the plan is active, and nothing is pro-rated.
- Buying a different plan replaces your current plan immediately and the days left on the old plan are not carried over. Paying for the same plan from your wallet adds 30 days to the time you have left.
- If you were charged because of a platform error, contact support and we will put it right.
- Listing promotions are final once they start. They end without a refund if the listing is sold, rejected, expires or is deleted. Our team may refund a promotion in exceptional cases.
How to Ask for a Refund
- To cancel an escrow that is still in the first stage, use the Cancel button on the escrow page. It needs no request.
- For a handover that failed, open a dispute from the escrow page and add your evidence.
- For anything else, open a ticket from your support page or write to [email protected]. Give the escrow, order or payment reference and, for a listing, its listing ID (it looks like AM-000123).
- Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback freezes the money while it is investigated.
Timing
- Escrow cancellation refund: instant, as a wallet credit.
- Automatic release (Rule 1): when the inspection window ends with no reply from the buyer and nothing is blocking it, the seller is paid at the next automatic run, usually within about 15 minutes after the window ends.
- Dispute outcome: credited at the moment our team records the ruling. We do not promise a ruling deadline.
- Withdrawals: reviewed by our team; the Withdraw page shows where each request stands.
- This policy describes how the platform works today. We update it when the rules change, and the date at the top shows the last update.
