How do I open a dispute?

Trust & DisputesLast reviewed Oct 8, 2026

Either the buyer or the seller can open a dispute on a deal, from the moment it is funded until the handover is complete. There is no deadline to open one, but the sooner you do, the easier it is to review.

  1. Open the deal and choose Open dispute.
  2. Explain what went wrong (10 to 3000 characters). Stick to facts: what was promised, what happened and when.
  3. Add your evidence (see "What evidence can I upload?").

Each side has 48 hours from the opening to add evidence. Our team reads both sides and rules. You can follow every dispute you are part of under Disputes in your dashboard.

If you only need help rather than a ruling, try Call Escrow Admin first.
